We are a ministry of Gun Lake Community Church. We exist to provide a safe Christian evnironment for children of the community. Our goal is to support parents in their roles at home and to equip children with a solid biblical foundation.

Located in the church nursery, easily accessible from our parking lot located by the playground. we offer two rooms one for children ages 6 weeks to 2 1/2 years old and the other 2 1/2 to 6 years old.
Our Staff
Gun Lake Child Care Lead Teachers are certified in early childhood development, preschool education, CPR and First Aid. Every child care staff member has been carefully screened and selected for their love of children and God as well as their ability to guide and model positive behavior and interact enthusiastically with children on a daily basis. We implement a developmentally age-appropriate curriculum for 0—6 year olds. We communicate with parents daily with a note home telling about your child's day.
We follow the state requirements for staff to student ratios. They are 1:4 for children ages 6 weeks—2 1/2 years old, and 1:10 for ages 3—6.
What to bring on your first day
Diaper bags, clothing and other personal items MUST BE LABELED with the child's name. Please include the following:
- Disposable diapers
- Diaper wipes
- Change of clothes
- One or two bottles or cups, as needed
- Clip on pacifier
- Crib sheet
- Special blankets or other "security" items
- Baby food and formula for infants 0-1 years old (labled with name and date)
- Sack lunch for children 1-6 years old (labled with name and date)
We provide a nutritious snack two times a day. Each will include at least two food groups as required by the State Food Regulations. Breakfast snack, such as toast and orange juice or yogurt and juice is served at 8:30 a.m. and afternoon snack, such as milk and banana or crackers and cheese, is served at 3:30 p.m.
Lunch is provided by the parent. Refrigerators are available in the room to keep lunches cold and microwaves are available to heat food.
Daily Schedule
A typical day consists of play time, snack time, outdoor play, story and singing (circle time), craft time, lunch, nap time, snack time, free time and then home. (Infants will follow their individual schedules)
Tuition
Ages 6 weeks to 2 1/2 years old is $36/day
Ages 2 1/2 to 6 1/2 years old is $28/day or $24/day for preschool wraparound
Hourly rate is $5/hr. for drop-in children or kindergarten students
Full time students will receive a 10% discount for second full time enrolled child
Registration fee $30/child or $50/family
Times and Hours
We are open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
We will be open everday of the year except for the following days: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
We are also closed two weeks out of the year for staff vacations. One in July and the other the week of Christmas.
Opened on school snow days unless notified otherwise.
